About this service
This program applies elements of the successful Youth Inclusion Program (YIP) model, with a particular focus on mental health tol focus on creating a safe place for youth to learn new skills, take part in social and recreational activities, but also learn skills for their own improvement and to enhance their resilience.
Activities will include:
- arts, culture and media programs and training
- sports and recreation activities, including field trips
- workshops and training on skills
- conversation circles
- referrals to other resources and supports
- mentorship
- family programming including periodic home visits.
Youth will be given access to all programming free, and will be provided with food as well as honorariums for completing the program.
