About this service
This program offers an integrated approach for patients who have problematic use of alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, cannabis or other drugs, including:
- Assessment of substance use concerns and review of treatment options
- Brief individual counseling
- Management of acute alcohol and opioid withdrawal
- Outpatient tapering of patients on high dose opioids or benzodiazepines
- Medication assisted treatment for alcohol use disorder, opioid use disorder and cannabis use disorder
- Group counselling: Early Recovery group, Seeking Safety group
- Referral to longer-term treatment programs
- Reintegration support for patients who have completed residential treatment
- Education on overdose prevention and use of naloxone
