About this service
Operating since the 1980s, Community Service Order is one of Springboards first programs providing service to correctional clients in the adult justice system.
A community service order is a court ordered sanction within a probation order or conditional sentence, under which an individual must perform a specific number of community work hours within a specific time frame. Springboard accepts referrals from 7 Probation Offices across the GTA. Springboard staff interview the client to find the right fit for community work; assign the work through our vast network of community agency partners; monitor and support clients through the completion of the work; and report back to the Probation Officer.
Springboard utilizes a vast network of not-for-profit community partners including food banks, thrift stores, community/recreation centres and organizations within faith communities across the GTA.
