About this service
Skylark is fortunate to have on-staff, a Provincial LGBTQ+ Youth Outreach Worker (YOW). Part of a multi-agency outreach initiative for marginalized youth in underserved neighbourhoods, and special populations in East Toronto, the YOW at Skylark works with LGBTQ+ youth ages 12 to 24 and their families. YOWs provide supportive counselling and referrals related to:
- Mental health services
- Inclusive healthcare
- Transitional housing and independent housing
- and other referral as needed by youth.
