About this service
The Wraparound Process is an innovative approach that mobilizes the community to help children, youth and families with complex needs, find solutions that will improve the quality of their lives.
This proven approach surrounds high-risk youth with a support team of family members, social workers, public health nurses, faith groups, friends and community members. The family like support team is chosen by the client and comprises formal and informal members. The team works together to help the young person/family plan their steps forward and build strategies to overcome barriers to success in order to reach their goals.
Skylark is presently involved in four Wraparound initiatives:
- Child Welfare and Youth Justice Diversion
- Keeping Families Together
- Young Families at Risk of Homelessness
- Quick Wrap Process
