About this service
Our Toddler program provides care for 15 children with 2 Registered Early Childhood Educators 's and 2 Early Childhood Assistants. The recommended ratio for Toddler programs is 1 staff member for every 5 children. having 4 staff in the room provides greater opportunities for engagement and interaction. Emergent Curriculum and programming stems from observations of each child in the program and engaging activities are created to support children's interests, development and individual needs. The development of Toddlers varies drastically within a few months, where some children are still learning to master infant developmental skills while others are developing some early preschool skills. The importance of observation and informed programming is able to support each child individually as well as the group as a whole.
