About this service
What is Occupational Therapy? Occupational therapy involves the assessment and treatment of individuals with barriers that are affecting their physical health, social interactions, and cognitive well-being. It helps you return to your daily activities or work after an illness, accident, or disability. What can I expect from Occupational Therapy? Whether you're recovering from illness, returning to work after an accident or simply learning to cope with the effects of aging, occupational therapy helps you to resume the daily activities that matter to you. We can help you to achieve your desired everyday function by finding the best solutions for your recovery needs. Our team can help people of all ages develop the daily skills they need to be an active participant in their own life. Therapy can be provided in places such as homes, schools, and clinics, and involves different types of education and recommendations. Our home-based services are appropriate for anybody experiencing significant difficulty performing personal care, housekeeping, home maintenance and/or caregiving activities. Our work-site services, which include job site analyses and job coaching programs, are tailored for people who are unable to return to work. We also provide in-clinic services for people who have significant barriers to recovery because of a complicated diagnosis or medical history.
