About this service
The Native Mens Transitional House is a 12-bed hostel that aims to assist Native youth aged 16 to 24 who are homeless or under-housed. Residents may stay in the Transitional House for up to 18 months. The housing provides a stable living situation that enhances the ability to find and maintain employment, enter job training programs and/or return to school. Youth will have a realistic living experience where Native young people can take responsibility for their living space, time management, food preparation, leisure activities, housekeeping and budgeting and daily social contact that enhances interpersonal skills. Ongoing support after leaving the program in order to maximize a successful transition to independent living is available.
