About this service

Some students just need a little extra help and the right learning environment. Kennedy House operates a co-ed day treatment classroom which is ideal for those who do not need residential placement but who are experiencing significant difficulties in a traditional school setting. The program objectives are to provide supportive classrooms, directed learning, & help set positive goals.

  • small class sizes;
  • individualized academic and life skills programming;
  • a safe environment in which to learn;
  • counselling;
  • incentive programs;
  • continuity of care, with oversight of implementation & delivery provided by a Kennedy House Social Worker;
  • care and treatment support by a Kennedy House Child and Youth Worker;
  • facilitation and academic delivery by an Ontario Ministry of Education & Board certified teacher; and
  • Ontario Ministry of Education approved curriculum.
