About this service
The Kennedy House After School Program offers vulnerable children between the ages of 4-13 with a variety of recreational and play-based after school programming that incorporates important life skills training and physical activity as well as homework help and a healthy snack.
The program operates in high-risk, multicultural neighbourhoods in Scarborough. These communities have been identified as areas in need of programming that will bring children together and give them new opportunities for recreation and academic support.
What is special about this program is that instead of requiring that the children come to our space, we go to where the children are, thus making it most convenient and safe for them. We also offer the program for free, giving parents in low-income neighbourhoods, a new option for after school care for their children.
