About this service
Our Community Camp program developed from a smaller scale family weekend that was originally hosted by our Toronto and Central Ontario region. The current version of this program was developed in 2012 and was offered every other year at YMCA Wanakita. Starting in 2020, Community Camp will be offered by Hemophilia Ontario as a yearly camp option with the location alternating every other year.
This program is a weekend overnight camp for individuals (their support persons), and families affected by an inherited bleeding disorder that focuses on creating opportunities for participants to enjoy outdoor activities, education sessions, and connecting with others from the bleeding disorders community in a safe environment.
