About this service
The Glen Rhodes Food Bank is an essential service and remains open while taking extra health and safety precautions. Including but not limited to admitting only 10 people at a time, pre-packaged food in the place of lunch, gloves for volunteers, increased sterilization of the space, and mandatory hand sanitizing before entering the building. If people are sick but still need food, Food Bank volunteers will serve them outside of the building. Community dinners have been put on hold due to COIVD. Usually, these monthly gatherings occur 5:00-6:00pm on the last Monday of each month at Glen Rhodes United Church are a chance for people to share a meal with their neighbour. Each dinner, about 100 meals are served.
