About this service

Assists youth facing multiple and/or complex barriers to employment build better futures. Youth between the ages of 15-29 who are currently not in school, employed or in training may be eligible for this program.

Youth interested in this program will be assessed to clarify their employment goals, develop an employment service plan with activities and services designed to meet those goals. They will participate in a paid pre-employment training component designed to improve their job readiness and lifeskills. Upon completion of this component, youth will participate in a paid job placement for a maximum of six months. Throughout the placement component, youth will have access to one-on-one job coaching and other supports as required.

Youth participating in the Youth Job Connection program will also have access to one-on-one career coaching, leadership and networking opportunities, including the option of returning to continue their educational studies to further their careers.
