About this service
COSTIs ESL Reading and Writing program helps students to become efficient at reading and writing in English. Through this program, students will acquire the foundations of grammar, and the tools necessary to write effective essays in preparation for education at the college or university level. The ESL Reading and Writing program is delivered by certified instructors in partnership with the Toronto and York Catholic District School Boards.
Topics covered include:
- vocabulary building;
- grammatical structure and sentence formation;
- punctuation and spelling; and
- different forms of writing such as letters, notes, and short compositions.
Who can use it?
Students must be 18 years of age or older, and be able to speak English at a conversational level.
