About this service
The Community Violence, Well-being & Recovery Project (CVWRP) is a collaborative effort between the Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities and the City of Torontos Community Safety and Wellbeing Unit. It aims to support vulnerable Scarborough residents affected by community violence using a trauma-informed, culturally appropriate approach. The project offers one-on-one trauma-informed counseling by a social worker and intake/assessment and case management by a caseworker. The program targets residents aged 16 and older within the Scarborough community who have been impacted by community violence, helping them transition to longer-term mental health support.
