About this service
The Outreach Program provides ongoing support for the refugee families of CRWC for their first year of resettlement.
This program was developed in 2006 in response to the identified need for ongoing support for families as they transitioned from the Centre into their own housing. Many returned to the Centre seeking help in a number of areas. Requests for assistance with advocacy and referral, understanding how to navigate new systems, filling out forms, and advice related to housing situations highlighted this gap in service.
Under its current model, the Outreach Program focuses on providing orientations, case management and workshops/social events. This seamless support for refugee families helps in the process of adaptation into local Canadian communities and offers optimum integration support.
