About this service
CIHC recognizes that COVID-19 has created a challenging time for everyone, particularly those seeking abortion services. We recognize that a wide varity of barriers may prevent someone from accessing the abortion they need. CIHC is pleased to now offer clients systems navigation support via video conferencing.
Clients can access support on a number of issues related to:
- Barriers accessing their abortion (travel, childcare, etc)
- Support for clients without access to insurance to cover the cost of their abortion
- Support applying for COVID related financial support
- Referrals to food banks and emergency shelters
- Mental health resources
- Support finding a primary care doctor or nurse practitioner
- Support navigating employment and immigrant services
