About this service
Since 1875, the Childrens Aid Society of Toronto has been keeping children and youth safe, strengthening families and providing alternate care for children and youth who are unable to remain in their home. Working with diverse communities to support families during times of crisis, to ensure the safety of the child/youth. CAS is the largest board governed child welfare agency in North America.
We are a not-for-profit agency funded by the province of Ontario, and one of the largest child welfare organizations in North America. Operating under section 72 of the Child and Family Services Act (CFSA). We have a legal mandate to keep children safe from abuse and neglect, ages 0 to 18.
Families and children we work with come from a wide range of diverse backgrounds (racial, ethnic and cultural). It is our aim to provide service meeting the needs of these children and families.
