About this service
Black CAPs Harm Reduction Program is based on harm reduction practices meant to reduce harms associated with Substance use. Our harm reduction model is committed to meeting the unique needs of ACB community members where they are at to reduce the risk of HIV and STI infections, communicable diseases (i.e. HEP C), criminalization, overdose, and violence.
The objectives of this program are:
- To increase knowledge and awareness of the harms associated with substance use in Torontos ACB communities
- To increase access to resources such as injection and inhalation equipment and to increase knowledge to ensure their safe use
- To increase the capacity of organizations to effectively respond to substance use in ACB communities
