About this service
Black CAPs Community Outreach Program shares HIV and other STI information with ACB heterosexual youth (age 16 to 29) and adult (age 30 years and over) who are at risk for HIV/AIDS.
Black CAPs Community Outreach Program:
- Conducts one-on-one education to increase their knowledge about HIV and STIs
- Delivers HIV/AIDS and other sexual health awareness and education workshops in collaboration with community partners who work with ACB community members
- Conducts outreach activities at community events such as Caribana, Afrofest, Jamaica Day, etc. and other social activities, particularly those attended by ACB heterosexual community members
- Distributes condoms and other sexual health related information in community spaces that serve ACB community members
- Supports community partners serving ACB community members in delivering HIV and other sexual health education programs across the city.
