About this service
We are pleased to offer our sex addiction treatment program for men.
Compulsive sexual behaviours can be as destructive and devastating as any substance addiction, yet the shame and fear of being stigmatized often prevent those affected from seeking help.
Sex addiction can involve compulsively pursuing one relationship after another, compulsive consumption of pornography, engaging in multiple casual sexual encounters, or having multiple sexual partners. As with the use of substances, this acting out behaviour is a way to temporarily alleviate feelings of emptiness, loneliness, or abandonment. These behaviours have compulsive elements, and resists the persons attempts to stop. They begin to display the warning signs common to all addictions: avoiding responsibilities, detaching from and hurting those closest to them, and putting themselves in dangerous situations.
Who can use it?
Men dealing with sex addiction, who may or may not be struggling with concurrent substance addiction
