About this service
Our Sponsorship Program initially started with an agreement with the United Church of Canada in order to sponsor Afghan refugees. We then became a Sponsorship Agreement Holder with Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Since 1996, the Afghan Womens Organization has sponsored 3100 people. Over 1000 people have arrived in Canada. Upon their arrival, we provide them with the settlement services, support, and resources needed to begin settling comfortably
