About this service
We are very proud of the seniors volunteer work group committee who this past year continued to assist in the implementation of our Portuguese-speaking Seniors' Recreation and Education Program. There are more than 180 registered members with an average of 80 to 100 seniors participating at each session (Tues., Wed., & Thurs.). The Life and Hope Group (Grupo Vida e Esperana) members participate in programs and events such as field trips, information sessions, exercise, art classes and dance. In addition, they focus on socializing and other well being activities such as massages, meditation and talks on nutrition.
