About this organization
Caregiving takes many forms. Many of us help older, sick, or adult family members and friends with disability. We know that we are helping but many of us dont attach ourselves to the title of caregiver. The role of caregiver can often strain ones health and well-being in many levels, including physical, mental, social and financial. If you are unsure of whether you are a caregiver, here are a few examples of the many different responsibilities a caregiver can assume:
Providing companionship
Making regular calls as a security check
Escorting to programs or services (i.e. wellness groups, exercise classes)
Making medical appointments or doing reminders
Talking to the healthcare team to understand what needs to be done
Purchasing groceries, providing meals or cooking
Administering medications or doing reminders
