Kids Helping Kids

Just as the name suggests, Kids Helping Kids was founded to benefit disadvantaged children. Since Briana MacLeod started the charity in 2004 when she was 9 years old, the organization has been led by kids and supports kids under the age of 18. Rather than helping one organization, Kids Helping Kids supports a wide range of organizations that help children in different ways and in different parts of the world. While our goals evolve over time, our current plan is to give 80% of the money we raise to Canadian organizations and 20% of the money we raise to international organizations.

As we have grown, children across Canada have wanted to help raise money for their local neighborhoods. In this case, any money raised is donated to that particular neighborhood. This also gave us the idea to start provincial chapters, where kids can come up with their own ideas about the ways they want to help and respond to the complexities of the area they live in.
