147 Elder Street is a private residential care home for 50 persons with dementia and Alzheimers disease which features:
- A loving safe, secure, elegant, home-like surrogate family environment with private bedrooms and bathrooms in a gracious family setting in a residential neighborhood
- Specialized multi-disciplinary staff with 1:4 staff to resident ratio during the day and evening shifts.
- 24/7 Registered Nursing staff on duty with daily assessments of each resident by a Registered Nurse.
- Specially trained staff mentored in Dementia Care and the medical complexities of aging e.g. Parkinsons, Wound care, Diabetes
- Therapeutic programs tailored to different types of dementia dedicated to preserving abilities and compensating for losses
- Group and 1:1 programs 7days a week from 10am to 8pm including Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Pet Therapy
- Innovative, individualized Care Plans
- Weekly Multi-Disciplinary review of each resident or more frequently as required.
