Timmins Family Counselling Centre - Partner Intervention Program

The Partner Intervention Program (PIP) is a mandatory program designed for women who have difficulty controlling their anger or have used violence in their intimate relationship(s). It is designed to help women learn to control their aggressive/violent outbursts, in addition to educate them about abusive behaviours in relationships. The objectives of PIP is to increase awareness of escalating anger; to learn to control this anger before it turns to physical violence or other destructive forms of aggression; to learn that you have a choice in determining ways to express your anger; to learn ways to relieve stress and channel anger appropriately; and to increase awareness of abuse in intimate relationships.
