About this service
Attendance Centre programs are designed to meet the needs of youth in conflict with the law. These centres are intended as an alternative to a custody order. Youth attending the centres will benefit from a period of intensive, highly structured and closely supervised programming to address their individual needs such as anger management, life skills or employment/job search skills.
The centres programs provide more constructive, long-term and sustainable solutions to youth crime that reinforce important societal values such as respect, responsibility and accountability. The intensive programming promotes family involvement, community support, positive attitudes and behaviour, and the development of appropriate social skills involving key members of the case management team and community resources as required. Access to the program is through a referral from a Probation Officer (Case Manager).
