About this service
The MS Society provides people living with MS and their families and friends with reliable, factual information about multiple sclerosis. The MS Society provides a safe place to share questions or concerns and also helps identify options or solutions through referrals to community and/or government resources. Please note that we do not offer therapeutic counselling services. Your health care provider may refer you to a certified professional for this service.
Support and self-help groups are an informal way to link people affected by MS. These programs all have the same goal: to give and receive emotional support and share practical ideas in dealing with the daily challenges that MS presents. Groups are based on the idea that no one knows more about a problem than those living with it. Each person is an expert, having learned from his/her own experiences. In a support or self-help group, individuals share not only their challenges but also their successes.
