About this service
The Vic Mahoney Centre (VMC) is a Community Participation Program that provides support for recreational opportunities, life skills and community involvement.
At the VMC, we try to accommodate to everyones wishes through person directed planning. We provide different activities on a daily basis, volunteering by giving back to the community and participation in community events.
We are currently designing, updating and implementing Person Centered Plans and they are directed by the people we support. People who know and care about the person will be asked to provide input into the plans.
We have partnerships with Xstrata, Toffanellos, City of Timmins, Porcupine Advance and Explor Resources Inc. to name a few. We complete paid contracts for these businesses. During the summer months we like to spruce up the schedule by offering activities such as; day trips out of town, special outings, fun and games etc
