About this service

A community based work, recreation and leisure program. Our goal is to provide community connecting opportunities and individualized supports that may include:

Recreation and Leisure Activities:

  • To promote physical fitness by participating in bowling, skiing, nature trail walks, snow shoeing and swimming
  • To encourage participation in leisure activities including singing and musical groups, arts and crafts, board games, puzzles and other leisure opportunities available in the community

Volunteerism:

  • Individuals have shown interest in volunteering at the Lord's Kitchen, Salvation Army and other volunteer agencies in the community.

Contract work:

  • This may include delivering papers for the Timmins Times, stuffing envelopes for charity campaigns or gift wrapping for local businesses.

Day outings:

  • Enjoying leisure activities at the beach, day camps, fishing, shopping and visiting regional attractions.
