About this service

Intervention facilitates the achievement of the childs maximal functional independence by incorporating the following:

  • Exploring the childs environment including the use of mobility equipment such as crutches, walkers, manual or power wheelchairs.
  • Promoting balance and coordination skills such as running, jumping, hopping, skipping and bicycle riding.
  • Improving muscle strength, range and quality of movement, tone and gross motor development.
  • Determining movement diagnoses
  • Enhancing gross motor skills and sensory motor integration to maximize participation at home, school and in the community.
  • Promotion of active participation within the home, school and community.
