Eligibility Requirements
Trained volunteers can help you with your taxes if you have a straightforward income tax return and your income is low. The program has basic eligibility requirements, including maximum income levels. Community organizations can adapt their own eligibility criteria depending on their economic location and capabilities, so check with the individual clinic.
They cannot help with income tax returns for:
- Deceased individuals
- Bankruptcies
- Capital gains or losses
- Employment expenses
- Business or rental income and expenses
