The Victim Advocate Caseworker provides clients who are victims of crime with support and encourages active participation in the Restorative Justice circle process within the Friendship Centre. The Victim Advocate Caseworker will prepare clients for the Restorative Justice process and will provide ongoing support. Assist victims of offences, to understand their rights and responsibilities and refer them to appropriate services within the Friendship Centre or to external agencies as needed. The Victim Advocate Caseworker will attend Healing Circle's with their client or on behalf of clients. The Victim Advocate Caseworker also attends the Indigenous Peoples Court and will support victims through the court process.
