The Indigenous Peoples Court is a new Wholistic way of dealing with our Indigenous People going through the court system. Utilizing a Judge, Elders and the offender (and their supports), lawyers and in some cases the victim and their supports. Court will take place within a circle, where the offender will share their life story and the reasons that brought them to this point in their lives. The judge will rule with recommendations by the Elders, and an Indigenous Peoples' Court worker will follow through with support, counseling and healing plans to suit the decision.
