About this service

The Culture Kitchen program is a 7 week culinary course for women who have relocated to Thunder Bay as refugees or immigrants and who are interested in exploring small food businesses as an income option. It's a great opportunity to meet the community, and bring your cooking skills and experiences to a new format. Members will practice creating and budgeting recipes, share their language and practice English, gain certification in Safe Food Handling and coordinate cooking meals together. Support for childcare and transportation are provided and interpreters will be on hand to help facilitate communication.
