About this service
Pioneer Ridge is operated by the Municipality of the City of Thunder Bay with support from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Our goal is to provide each resident with quality services and programs. All residents are treated equally in a setting of compassion and care which is consistent with our Resident Bill of Rights. At Pioneer Ridge, we strive to maintain each person's individuality and encourage independence through quality nursing care, life enrichment programs, balanced nutrition, and social and spiritual opportunities. Our facility has 150 Long Term Care beds. The Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation has accredited Pioneer Ridge. This is a certification of the quality of care and services that we provide to our resident.
