About this service
Re-Integration Services works with both men and women who have been incarcerated and assists them in getting re-established in the community. Many of these clients need support to meet their basic needs. We connect clients to vital services such as social assistance, food programs, and clothing assistance. JHS not only provides these services on-site but refers out to community agencies as well. Staff work with clients to help them develop the skills they need to avoid further conflict with the law and develop a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Programming such as Life Skills, Anger Management and Substance Use teach clients the necessary skills to cope better, and target the behavior which brought them into contact with the law in the first place. These services have made a positive impact in our community by engaging and supporting those in conflict with the law, and helping to prevent crime in Thunder Bay and district.
