About this service
Outdoor pools are now CLOSED for the season and will reopen June 30, 2023! The City of Thunder Bay is home to two seasonal outdoor pools. You can also learn more about our local Beaches and Splash Pads for swim and water play, find out about jobs at Volunteer Pool, Churchill Pool or the Seasonal Outdoor Facilities, and volunteer opportunities at the pools and around the city. Admission standards As part of our commitment to providing safe and enjoyable aquatic programs for swimmers of all ages, we enforce the admission standards provided to us by the Ministry of Health. Please keep the following in mind when visiting our pools: There must be one supervising caregiver for every 2 children under the age of 6. There must be one supervising caregiver for every 4 non-swimming children aged 6 to 9. In both cases, the supervising caregiver must be able to give immediate assistance. If you have any questions please call your local pool.
