The primary goal of our Health Living program is to provide children with the equipment that is necessary to have fun. This can range from basketballs, hockey skates and snowshoes to colouring books, markers, traditional items for beading and everything in between. Our work is very connected to the community education teams who want to create opportunities for kids to be kids and play. Thus far, we have collaborated with community members and other organizations to offer fun activities for children such as baseball camps, hoolahoops in the snow and art supplies to help create decorations for celebrations. When you fund these activities you are helping to offer children a safe and happy environment in order to build healthy relationships and develop various life skills.
