About this service
The Canadian Children's Asthma Society has developed an Elementary School Asthma Education Program that helps educate children in the age range of 7 to 9 years old on Asthma and how to support fellow classmates who may have Asthma. The program involves a one hour presentation to students at participating elementary schools across Canada. The program includes age appropriate level videos explaining: what is Asthma, its effects on children who have been diagnosed with Asthma, and what to do in an emergency situation when a fellow classmate is having an Asthma attack. Each child will receive a detailed information brochure with Asthma information and contact information for the Society if they would like to access further programs or assistance.
