About this service

The Support Service Living Unit program provides a combination of accessible, subsidized housing with twenty-four hour personal assistance service. Personal assistance enables adults with a physical disability to live independently in the community. Essentially, personal assistance is providing persons with physical disabilities with activities of daily living that, if the person did not have a disability, they could do for themselves. The services are initiated and directed by the consumer and are available on a schedules and per request basis. Personal assistance may include, but is not limited to, the following: Personal grooming and hygiene Bathing and washing Transferring and positioning Meal preparation Dressing and undressing Toileting and bladder/bowel care Housekeeping
