Children's Centre Thunder Bay - Circle of Security

Even with the best of intentions, parents may feel ineffective or unsure about the best approach in dealing with their child. Children's Centre Thunder Bay provides the Circle of Security Program which uses a group format, and is designed to help parents, caregivers, and foster parents with children up to the age of 6 to develop a stronger, happier relationship with their child. This is achieved through the use of reflective practices, which help parents gain a better understanding of why children behave the way that they do. With an improved understanding of what motivates their child's behaviour, parents can more effectively respond to and manage them, reducing unwanted behaviour, while creating opportunities for their child to develop towards their optimal potential.
