The Eleanor Drury Children's Theatre

Eleanor Drury Children's Theatre (EDCT) is a non-profit, volunteer-run charitable theatre organization in Thunder Bay. For almost 40 years, EDCT has provided opportunities for over 1000 young people ages 6-18 to experience the joy and magic of a live theatre production and to grow and express themselves through theatre. Since 1982, EDCT has produced 37 plays and shares the live theatre experience by making theatre affordable and accessible to the diverse population in our Northern community. EDCT hires local artists to work with youth and engage them in all creative aspects of our productions.

What to expect from an Eleanor Drury Children's Theatre experience? EDCT fosters a collaborative approach to children's theatre by involving youth in the creative process. EDCT productions are geared to the development of life skills and self-esteem in a supportive environment. EDCT supports youth by providing them room to explore self expression and develop their role in the production. EDCT productions are lead by an experienced team, with a background in working with youth in live theatre. EDCT is a group of families and supporters who are involved with their children and support the organization. EDCT engages with local artists to bring creative elements to our performances. EDCT supports the community by working to keep their programs accessible, affordable and sustainable.
