About this service
Personal Support Workers and Recreation staff deliver a full-day program in a group setting for adults who require monitoring and/or assistance. This program benefits persons living with Alzheimers, dementias, Parkinsons, acquired brain injuries, and/or strokes. Clients are provided a hot lunch, snacks and materials for recreational activities. Transportation can be arranged for an additional fee.
The service assists clients in achieving and maintaining their maximum level of functioning, to prevent premature and inappropriate institutionalization and provides respite and support for caregivers. Service components include transportation (if required), social, recreational and physical activities, meals, personal care and minor health care (for example, monitoring of medication).
