About this organization
Your Local Branch 375 in Richmond Hill is active in helping our living Veterans whether from WW II or later, and remembering those that have passed on before. Our guiding Mission is to support and advocate on behalf of Veterans and serving personnel who protect our country and way of life, be it now or in the past.
One of the many functions the Legion does to raise funds to aid our Veterans is the annual Poppy Campaign. Not only does this help remind us of our Veterans sacrifices, but it also allows your Legion to serve the community.
Through grants and bursaries, the Legion helps Ex-Service personnel and their dependents, providing: sponsorships for low cost housing; wheelchairs and other specialized equipment such as artificial limbs; specialized equipment for hospitals and extras that are not covered in their budgets; sponsoring Youth Programs such as Cadets, Cubs, Scouts, Guides, etc.
