About this service
The Residential Addictions Treatment Program provided by CMHA HPE in Trenton operates on a 12-day closed cycle open to adults who are 21 years or older and battling severe or chronic addiction problems. The program is designed on a harm reduction model and utilizes cognitive behavioral theories via educational activities, discussion groups, and activities. Participants are engaged in programming from 8:45 am to 7:15 pm daily. After the 12-day program, there is an additional 6-week Aftercare which includes follow-ups and further support via phone calls and added worksheets. A subset of the program - The Day-Use Treatment Program also exists to allow participants to return home each evening. Usage of unauthorized medication, electronics, and weapons is strictly prohibited during the program.
