About this organization
The Port of Johnstown is a major shipping facility in Eastern Ontario that handles grain, salt, and other cargo. Built in 1930, it serves trucks, vessels, and rail transport. The Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal has owned the port since 2000, when they purchased it from Ports Canada. In 2016, they expanded the wharf to handle more types of cargo. Previously known as the Port of Prescott, it was renamed to the Port of Johnstown in 2014.
