About this organization
The National Air Force Museum of Canada (NAFMC) is a prominent aviation museum located in the Quinte area. Established in 1984, the museum is committed to preserving and narrating the history of Canadian military aviation. Spanning over 75,000 square feet, NAFMC features over 35 static aircraft displays including the fully restored Second World War Halifax bomber and Canada's first military aircraft, the Burgess Dunne. The museum also runs a Restoration Shop offering insight into the process of aircraft restoration. Besides showcasing aircraft, NAFMC also shares stories of Canadian air force personnel, creating an immersive experience for its visitors. The museum operates daily from 10 am to 5 pm from May 1 to September 30, and Wednesday to Sunday from October 1 to April 30.
