About this service
The Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre offers many programs and services that encourage the healthy development of Indigenous children and youth while supporting parents to help their children thrive.
Indigenous Family Support
- The Aboriginal Family Support Program focuses on strengthening parenting and caregiving skills through supporting the spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual needs of urban Aboriginal children aged 0 to 6 years and their families.
Prenatal Nutrition Program
- The Aboriginal Prenatal Nutrition Program will provide community, culture-based holistic programs and services to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal mothers and their babies (pre-natal to 6 months).
Akwe:go Program
- The Akwe:go Urban Indigenous Childrens Program aims to improve the quality of life of urban Indigenous children (ages 712 years) through the delivery of appropriate activities and services.
